Hey all, I'm new to this forum, just discovered it.  Glad to see there are others in the area who share my interest.

I'm heading to Iceland tomorrow for a few days of fishing.  We will be fishing rivers in the Laugarvatn area southeast of Reykjavik.  Hoping for some productive days.  Also looking forward to hiking to the volcano.

Will give you a report upon my return

A great trip, although the fishing was not as productive as hoped.  We were plagued by cold rainy weather for the first three days which wasn't unexpected but we also had to deal with blustery winds which made landing a fly difficult.  Still, fishing for arctic char in the rivers and lakes of Iceland--what more could one ask?

Off next week for some more in Ruby Valley, Nevada.

Two trips back to back with spectacular scenery, not very fruitful fishing. Ruby Valley is incredibly beautiful and we spotted mountain goat, pronghorn, golden eagle, wild mustang.

Heading back to the Rubies in October, hope to have better luck this time.
