Just wanted to introduce myself.  I hail from Charleston, SC but work currently requires my presence in the Huntsville area a few weeks a month.  Y'all have a beautiful town.  Have to admit, I've got little to no experience with the fresh but am hoping to change that.  Here are a few pics of what we get into back east.  Look forward to contributing what I can and thanks for the hospitality.

Sorry for the small pics.  Tried to resize but didn't seem to help.

Cheers.

Welcome aboard and thanks for droping in. Nice pictures too. If your in town on the 3rd Thursday of the month we have our TVFF meeting. It consist of a presentation and a small raffle (5 tickets for a $1) for donated flies the members tie up and last about an hour and a half. The 2nd and 4th Thursdays some of us get together for a fly tying class and would love to have you stop in if you are in town.
Use webshots of the attachment option to post pic's on this board if you want to be able for them to be viewed in a larger format, photobucket and this forums format appear to dislike each other Cheesy

Hey good friend. Anyone from Chucktown is welcome here. Pull up a chair and have a beer.
Got any GPS cords you want to share?

Joking... welcome aboard.

Squirrel,

Many thanks for the kind welcome.  I will undoubtedly be present for one of the numerous offerings.  When on rotation, I stay at the Holiday Inn in Decatur.  Any chance you might be able to provide progressive direcs to the meeting location?  Or an address.  GPS does wonders.  Again, profound thanks.

Cheers,

As far as the directions to the meetings check out the "WEBSITE" tab on the blue bar below the 'News" and "Search"  bar is your best bet. It will give you more info on the club; metings, events, directions and such. There should be a link to the monthly e-newsletter as well.
Did you know that when in Decatur you are only an hour away from Alabama's only year round Trout stream? It's is stocked 7 times a year with 3500 rainbow trout and has light fishing pressure except in the summer.
Thanks for the invite on the fishing as well

FG, would love nothing more than to say yes, but this wkend is a no-go (in-laws in town).  They're cool and all, but no feesh'n this wkend.  Cry  Plus (and you may know this) but our trout fishing is tail-water dependent, so planning trips in the winter is always tentative. TVA- for Elk, Duck, & Caney (closest drives in TN) and AL Power for Spisey. TVA is pretty good about sticking to their schedule. Spisey seems to be iffy, but several guys on here (i.e. Purple Squirrel) can fill you in on what's the norm. I fish more in TN and not that familiar with the Sip. Always check the generation schedule via phone or website the night before and day of. Warm water fishing will be on in a few weeks. I'm sure you have the rods to handle the bass. Be sure to stop by the Whitesburg Baptist Church  Outdoor Expo Friday, March 5th, 3:30 to 6:30 P.M. TVFF will support this event with a TVFF exhibitor booth. We'll get together soon. I love nothing more than to show of my superior skills on the Elk. We're laying down at least 30' of line each cast. Grin
