Pirates of the Flats?
I’d originally heard of the ESPN2 “fly fishing” show “Pirates of the Flats” in a back issue of
The Drake Magazine. Initially I was skeptical of this project but cautiously optimistic that it might be a good time waster on Sunday mornings. My skepticism faded into concrete disappointment. Make your own decision on the show, but here’s what you can expect.

Lefty Kreh: “Nice cast.” How would we know. They never show anyone casting other that a close-up of their wrist/reel moving a few degrees. Give me just one double-haul!

The wife and I watched Rise by Confluence Films last night. She summed things up by saying, “I saw more fly fishing in 5 minutes of this film than in an hour of POTF.” Yep, it's a time waster.
